Entre los beneficios de consumirlos se encuentran los siguientes:<\/p>\n<p>a. son bajos en calor\u00edas<\/p>\n<p>b. son una excelente fuente de fibra, vitaminas, minerales y prote\u00ednas<\/p>\n<p>c. pueden ser preparados en varias formas<\/p>\n<p>Algunas de las formas como puedes consumir estos productos integrales son las siguientes: panecillos integrales, rollos de trigo, panes de avena, y panes de combinaci\u00f3n de granos m\u00faltiples.<\/p>\n<p>Usa harina integral para preparar tus panquecas, y los waffle.<\/p>\n<p>En recetas donde te pidan harina de trigo, usa la mitad de harina blanca y la otra mitad de harina integral.<\/p>\n<p>Trata de consumir arroz integral, pastas que sean integrales y productos que est\u00e9n preparados con granos m\u00faltiples.<\/p>\n<p>Los expertos en nutrici\u00f3n recomienda lo siguiente para tener una alimentaci\u00f3n balanceada y que te ayude a mantener el peso adecuado.<\/p>\n<p>1. Granos \u2013 incluye unas 6 onzas de ellos en tu dieta diaria<\/p>\n<p>Ejemplo: cereales, panes, galletas, arroz y pastas<\/p>\n<p>Una onza es el equivalente a una rebanada de pan, 1 taza de cereal, \u00bd taza de arroz o pasta<\/p>\n<p>2. Vegetales \u2013 debes consumir 2 \u00bd tazas diarias. Consume preferiblemente los que color oscuro, tales como br\u00f3coli, espinacas, hojas de color verde oscuro como la acelga, etc. Tambi\u00e9n debes consumir vegetales de color anaranjado tales como la zanahoria, batatas amarillas, etc. Granos secos (frijoles, rojos, pintos, lentejas, garbanzos, arvejas, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>3. Frutas \u2013 debes consumir 2 tazas diarias. Escoge una variedad de ellas al d\u00eda especialmente las frescas aunque tambi\u00e9n puedes consumirlas congeladas, enlatadas o secas. Evita usarlas en jugos.<\/p>\n<p>4. Leche \u2013 debe usar unas 3 tazas diarias aunque los ni\u00f1os de 2-8 a\u00f1os requieren otra dosis. Usa la leche descremada, de soya, yogurt, o leche deslactosada si tienes problemas con la lactosa.<\/p>\n<p>5. Prote\u00ednas \u2013 debes consumir 5 \u00bd onzas diarias. Evitar consumir prote\u00ednas en exceso. Si no eres vegetariana trata de consumir pescado y pollo, pero evita las carnes rojas. Evita fre\u00edr los alimentos; es mejor hornearlos, asarlos, o hervirlos. Utiliza aceites de origen vegetal y evita el uso de mantequilla y grasa de cerdo. Los granos y las semillas son una excelente fuente de prote\u00edna de buena calidad.
